About the Role

Elite Co. is seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Executive to join our Commercial team. In this exciting role, you will play a key part in expanding our footprint within the freight and logistics industry. You will leverage your industry expertise and sales acumen to identify new business opportunities, generate qualified leads, secure new accounts, and build strong relationships with both new and existing clients.

What You’ll Do
• Elite Co. Champion: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of Elite Co.'s services and capabilities to identify and qualify leads with a strong understanding of their specific shipping needs.
• Lead Generation & Conversion: Develop and execute strategies to generate new leads through various channels, including cold calling, email marketing, and industry networking. Convert qualified leads into new clients by presenting customized logistics solutions that leverage Elite Co.'s strengths.
• Client Relationship Management: Build strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients by understanding their needs and exceeding expectations. Provide ongoing support and identify opportunities to expand their business with Elite Co.
• Proposal Development & Negotiation: Craft compelling proposals that highlight the value proposition of Elite Co.'s freight services, emphasizing efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. Negotiate contracts to win new business and ensure profitability.
• Market Intelligence & Reporting: Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity. Track and report on sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the development of future sales strategies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Elite Co. Commercial Team and other departments to ensure seamless customer service and successful project execution.


Education and Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).

  • Certification in freight forwarding or a related field (e.g., CFF) is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills

  • 5+ years of proven work experience in a freight forwarding, logistics, or related sales role.

  • Demonstrated track record of success in exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong understanding of the freight forwarding and logistics industry, including shipping methods, regulations, and documentation.

  • Proven experience with cold calling, proposal development, and negotiation.

  • Passionate about building strong relationships and exceeding customer expectations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information effectively.

  • Proficient in CRM software (HubSpot) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).

  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends and make informed decisions.

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Collaborative and team-oriented with a willingness to share knowledge and support colleagues.

  • Experience working with international clients a plus.
