Elite Co Boosts Logistics Clout in Qatar, Bahrain

Leading GCC Logistics Provider Appoints Middle East Specialist to Spearhead Drive into Untapped Markets

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (March 22, 2022) - Elite Co., a leading GCC supply chain and logistics provider, has appointed Mr Nael Attiyat, a vastly experienced Middle East specialist, to head the expansion of its operations in Qatar and Bahrain.

Mr Attiyat will serve as country manager for both Qatar and Bahrain. Until now, Elite Co, which specializes in freight transportation, warehousing, eCommerce fulfilment, and last-mile delivery, has not had a country-specific manager for the two Gulf States.

Mr Attiyat brings with him 26 years of experience in the Middle East logistics and supply chain industry, working for several multinational organizations, including DHL and TNT.

Since September 2016, he has held the position of Head of Cargo at Royal Jordanian Airlines.

His appointment marks a determined push by Elite Co. into markets the company believes are waiting to be tapped.

Elite Co. CEO Hisham Albahar says Mr Attiyat’s role is to grow the company’s presence in Bahrain and Qatar, both in terms of assets—trucks and warehouses—and people.

“His brief is to leverage our regional network to bring in key clients as well as to assess and expand our service offering to achieve our strategic objectives.”

Mr Attiyat entered the logistics industry in Jordan in 1996 after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics and a Mini-MBA from Rutgers University in New York.

He spent 15 years with DHL, holding the positions of Qatar General Manager, and Country Commercial Manager in Jordan and Qatar.

He also worked for four years as TNT Director of Sales, Marketing & Customer Service in Saudi Arabia. There he played a vital role in growing verticals such as oil & gas, pharmaceutical, aeronautical, and automotive.
