About the Role
Job Purpose
Elite Co. JAFZA is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Truck Placement Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital role in optimizing our fleet operations by efficiently assigning trucks to customer shipments.
What You’ll Do (Key Accountabilities)
● Matching trucks to shipments: You will consider factors like truck capacity, type (refrigerated, container, etc.), driver availability, and route optimization to ensure the most efficient allocation.
● Scheduling truck departures and arrivals: This involves coordinating with drivers, warehouses, and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
● Monitoring fleet movements: You will track truck locations and ensure adherence to schedules, potentially using tracking software.
● Maintaining accurate records: This includes shipment data, truck assignments, and dispatch logs. Including correct data in raising the billing.
● Communicating effectively: You will collaborate with dispatchers, drivers, warehouse personnel, and customers to ensure clear communication and address any concerns.
● Identifying and resolving problems: You will proactively anticipate potential issues with truck assignments and work towards solutions.
● Coordinate with UAE Customs for documentation and coordination with Border agents etc.
Requirements
About You
Education and Certification
● Bachelors in any Field
● Cargo Management / Certification
Knowledge and Skills Needed to do the Job.
(Job-Specific Competencies required to successfully perform the job)
● Experience with Trucking coordination
● Familiarity with Customs Norms for GCC
● Understanding customer requirements on types of trucks
● Excellent communication in English, and Hindi. Arabic is an added advantage.
● IT Skills in MS Office Excel
● Soft skills & personality needed like Teamwork, Problem Solving etc.
● Values like responsibility, honesty, respectfulness & self-motivation like creating a workplace with positivity, encourage teamwork
Experience
● At least 01-02 Years of Experience in Trucking
● Similar role in a freight company operations
● Experience in customs and border clearances
